I have divergent interests in both art and science, and since a child I have endeavored to unite them.  I studied biology and environmental science as an undergrad, and went on to graduate school to focus on environmental health.  After a decade in civil service as an environmental specialist, I went back to my first passion, art, and am now earning a second master’s degree in art history.  My interests environmentally lie in sustainability, conservation of public lands, and all aspects of environmental health.  My art historical interests focus on the iconography of the Italian Renaissance, female Renaissance artists, and early 20th century American art and film – especially the early animation of Walt Disney Studios.
